enCouraging Comfort: Community and Corporate Volunteers

enCouraging Comfort projects allow volunteers to make a difference in the lives of pediatric patients without entering the hospital. Volunteers put together themed activity packs and send them along to hospitalized children to make their stay a little brighter.

Hospital Comfort Kits

Being in the hospital can be particularly difficult and isolating for children, not just during the holidays, but all year around. Hospital Comfort Kits are themed goody bags that are given to pediatric patients and are filled with age-appropriate items that provide children with various activities that distract and alleviate pain, fear, and anxiety that accompany anything from an emergency visit to a planned surgery.

Party-in-a-Box

Spending holidays and birthdays in the hospital can be lonely, especially for children. While they’d rather be celebrating at home and spending time with family and friends, Party-in-a-Box kits allow us to bring a special celebration and spread some cheer to a pediatric patient by sending boxes of fun party supplies, decorations, and favors for all themes and occasions.
