For 35 years, enCourage Kids Foundation has helped humanize healthcare for children and their families by resourcing impact-driven pediatric programs and supporting the Child Life Community. Serving nearly one million children annually, our programs offer relief from the constant burden of treatment, hospital stays, and doctor appointments, while also supporting pediatric facilities to meet the unique needs of their patients. enCourage Kids envisions a world where every child—regardless of the difficulty of his or her medical journey—experiences joy, hope, resilience, and healing.

We are currently seeking to fill the following positions:

Internship Title: Social Media Internship

Location: Remote Work

Duration: Fall Semester with opportunity to stay on for the spring. Dates and days are flexible to accommodate class schedules. Minimum commitment 8-20 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Curate, research, design, and write blog articles
  • Perform research on best marketing and social media practices
  • Create effective and engaging graphics
  • Manage all social media accounts: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Analytics reporting for website and all social media accounts
  • Manage and edit content calendar

Position Requirements:

  • Outstanding writing and editing skills
  • Advanced computer skills and strong familiarity with the web
  • Detail-oriented and organized, especially with working remote
  • Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter
  • Quick learned who listens and asks good questions
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work. This means you are willing to put in the effort/time required to get the job “done right”, not “done right now”.
  • Access to a laptop that can be used with Adobe Creative Cloud programs

Education Requirements:

Candidates should be in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.

enCourage Kids Foundation seeks an intern to support and assist the Special Events Department in their fundraising efforts.

Internship Title: Special Events Internship 

Location: Remote Work 

Duration: Fall Semester with opportunity to stay on for the spring. Dates and days are flexible to accommodate class schedules. Minimum commitment 10 hours per week.  

Duties and Responsibilities Include but arNot Limited to the Following: 

  • Assist with various fundraising events including the Annual Gala, Night at Citi Field, Golf Outing and Tasting event; 
  • Solicit restaurants and various organizations to support the events through donations to the silent auction and raffle, as well as financial sponsorships; 
  • Support events by phone calls soliciting ticket, table and ad sales, follow-up phone calls, generating mailings, researching and compiling lists, organizing materials for and working at events;  
  • Perform general administrative office duties as necessary; and 
  • Maintain a working knowledge of programs.  

Position Requirements: 

  • Must be a strong oral communicator and be comfortable on the phone; 
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to prioritize, and handle multiple tasks; 
  • Detail-oriented and organized, especially with working remote 
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel) and strong familiarity with the web; 
  • Strong written, organizational and interpersonal skills; 
  • Professional demeanor and enjoys working with others.  

Education Requirements: 

Candidates should be in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in the field of Public Service, Non-Profit Management, Social Work, Public Health Administration, Communications, Marketing, and/or related discipline.
