In Memoriam: Michele Hall-Duncan

The enCourage Kids Foundation (EKF) lost an integral part of our family when Michele Hall-Duncan, our President and CEO, passed away on June 7th, 2022, following a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. Michele’s leadership, passion and commitment to our mission of making hospitals a better place to get better, was the driving force behind EKF during her 26 year tenure.

As we mourn her loss, the Board is committed to ensuring a thoughtful transition as we continue to focus on delivering programs that align with our four pillars of Joy, Hope, Resilience and Healing. Moreover, we are focused on moving forward with a succession plan that will build on Michele’s legacy and carry EKF into the future for the benefit of the children, their families, child life community and hospital partners who depend on our important work.
