enCouraging Memories is our hands-on volunteer program. Volunteers will have the opportunity to enter a hospital and create positive memories for pediatric patients and their families. For programs that take place in the hospital, volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Volunteers facilitate arts and crafts projects that allow hospitalized children to express themselves through creativity.
Celebrations allow pediatric patients and their families to escape from the hardships that accompany a hospital stay. Volunteers will spread joy to hospitalized children through play, arts and crafts, and more.
Reading with hospitalized children offers distraction while encouraging educational fun.
Looking for something else? We will reach out to our Hospital partners and try to find a volunteer opportunity or event that accomodates your interests.
Volunteers will have a variety of opportunities to work hands-on with the children that we serve, without having to enter the hospital. All year round, enCourage Kids offers family outings to numerous events that are free of charge. We also encourage our volunteers to make an even bigger impact by joining our Young Professionals Committee or making your miles matter as a part of Team enCourage Kids.
Join us in creating positive memories for kids living with a chronic illness and their families with exciting events outside of the hospital such as movie days, holiday partieis, a day at Six Flags, a weekend at camp, and more.
